The possibility of losing all your possesions and having no renters insurance is really terrible. I did indeed spend a few hours outside, but the whole damn town was out too, small town where not much happens so when something does they feel the need to make an event out of it. Every goddamn halfwit for miles was out with cellphones in hand recording the fire. One of my cats was still outside of the apartment too, I had managed to get the other in my truck but Fez being the little demon he is ran off before I could shut the door on him. But no one was allowed on the side of the street my building was on so I couldn't get to him. I found him hiding under the stairs when I was allowed to go get clothes, so I brought both cats inside because the fire chief said they'd be alright to stay at the apt. for the night. Luckily the worst done to my apartment is that it's a little smokey smelling and my floors need to be scrubbed because two firemen walked all through it checking for damage before they allowed me in. If I had gotten really lucky a hot, muscular fireman could've rescued me like a damsel in distress, he'd have to be pretty hot though for me to wait around on his ass to save me.
